Anyone wanting to eat well on a budget and share nutritious food with others.

“I just turned 18 and I’m starting to live on my own, so I need to learn how to cook for myself. I always thought healthy food was too expensive, but in the classes they showed us lots of tips on how to eat healthy without spending too much money.”

All Cook.Connect.Share. sessions are held at our 43 Mercer Street Social Supermarket in Geelong.

why it matters

Food insecurity is rising across our region, with more households forced to choose between food and other essential costs. Tight budgets can also make healthy eating harder, increasing reliance on cheaper, highly processed foods.

Cook. Connect. Share. builds practical cooking and nutrition skills using affordable, locally available ingredients. Participants gain confidence to prepare healthy meals,
strengthen social connection and share their knowledge at home, supporting
healthier communities and long-term food security.
