FAQs

Does Geelong Foodshare Collect?

YES, call or email to arrange a pick-up

What is the difference between best before and used by dates?

“Use by” dates relate to food safety, while “best before” dates indicate quality and freshness. We can only collect “use by” items if frozen on or before that date.

Can I donate home grown produce?

Yes

What is the best way to store the product ready for donation?

Storage depends on the item. For refrigerated products nearing their use-by date, please freeze them to extend their life and ensure they can be distributed safely.
